Hi,
Today I have something truly special for you – a Harley-Davidson Road Glide that not only looks amazing, but also plays like a jaw-dropping tune.
Beautiful paint, a wide front tire, tons of extras, and a 131-inch engine – and we've thrown in our own performance to boot.

Hi,
Today I’ve got something truly special for you – Harley-Davidson Road Glide, which not only looks insane but also sounds jaw-dropping.
Beautiful paintwork, a wide front tire, tons of extras, and a 131-cubic-inch engine – and on top of that, we added our sound system.

This is one of those projects where I feel that passion and sound meet perfectly halfway down the road.

A two-speaker system that gets the job done

Let’s start with the fact that this is one of the most popular kits I’ve installed so far in Harleys.
We’ve got here a two-speaker system powered by a single amplifier – a classic setup, but in a premium edition.

I used

  • Two Ground Zero Yellow Basket 6.5″ speakers with neodymium magnets – you probably already know them from my previous videos. These are speakers that don’t require any tweaking, heating, cutting, or custom mounts. They just fit perfectly – both in the Street Glide and the Road Glide.
  • Hertz Audio SP4.500 amplifier – once bridged, it delivers 300 W of power per channel. The speakers are rated at 250 W RMS, but they easily handle 300 W. The key is proper tuning of the gains, filters, and levels – that way the system runs long, clean, and without risk of burning anything out.

This combination produces a brilliant effect – a powerful, clear sound that really carries along the road.

Installation – no cutting, maximum aesthetics

As always, I wanted everything to look neat and professional. I mounted the amplifier on a mounting plate, which I glued and tucked under the radio. The entire installation was done without interfering with the motorcycle’s original wiring – nothing was cut, nothing damaged. Everything is connected with plugs, so if someone ever looks deeper inside, it’ll probably take them a while to even find where the amplifier is hidden.

The wires and cables are neatly hidden behind the front headlight, so everything looks factory from the outside.

I love projects like this – clean, powerful and smart.

How does it sound?

I’ll keep it short – it sounds incredible.
A few people have already listened to this bike, and everyone had the same smile on their face when I turned up the volume. It sounds powerful, full-range, with a solid low end and crystal-clear highs.

The system has been perfectly tuned for rock music, but it easily handles other genres too – from blues to pop. The radio remains the stock GTS unit, with no swaps for a Soundstream or any RCA-based setup. I performed a full radio flash and properly set up the equalizer – everything is centered, with no exaggerated bass or treble boosts.

That’s important, because often when you bring me your bikes, I see the equalizer cranked up to the max – and that ruins the sound.
Here, there’s a perfect balance – and that’s exactly why those 300 W turn these speakers into real beasts.

Details that matter

This system not only sounds great but also looks like it came straight from the Harley factory. No dangling wires, no improvisations. Every component has its place – from the amplifier to the signal cables.

If any of you have been to my workshop and listened to this bike – let me know in the comments what you think. I’m really curious about your opinions, because for me, this is one of those projects that prove less is more – just two speakers, yet it sounds like a live concert.

Got a Harley? Let’s make it sound the same!

If you’re thinking about improving the sound in your motorcycle – call, write, or drop by. I work with audio systems for all Harleys from 1998 to 2023+.

I have on offer:

I treat each motorcycle individually – a Stage 2 performs differently, a new model differently, an older one differently.

That's why I always choose the equipment and settings specifically for each motorcycle—whether it's a Road Glide, Street Glide, or another Harley-Davidson model—a similar setup is available. HD Audio Łódź offers audio equipment for models from 1998 to the latest 2023+ models, including speakers, amplifiers, cables, radios, and mounting accessories.
